What are some basic/famous/common Greek Mythology stories that I should know?
It’s an anthlogy of stories of the gods/goddesses, as well as other legends like the Arthenian legends. It’s pretty good. Our high school used to use it as the textbook for our mythology class. It does a good job with the origin myths–telling you how things came to be. Ovid’s “Metamorphoses” is a classic piece of literature–poetry, really–that is a collection of myths. It was recently adapted into a very popular stage show.
