What are some at home remedies for minor ear aches or ear infections for a 5 yr, old??
I have grown up with recurring ear infections. I am 23 and this is the first year I haven’t had one. Last year I went to get seen for one though, by a different doctor- military doc, and instead of prescribing me something they took syringes and cleaned my ears out with warm saline. At first I was a little concerned but it felt sooo good, and out of each ear they washed a raisin size ball of earwax, it was instant relief and although the slight infection was still there they told me to give it a day or two and see if it got better, it did so no antibiotics for me. They told me that I should never use Q-tips in my ears, no one should, and the best way to keep them clean is to run them under the shower head with normal pressure because that keeps the earwax out and assists with drainage.
