What are some applications for the use of lemon balm herb?
Lemon Balm is a lovely herb that has been utilized since Egyptian times. I have been growing it for years. It is described in the gardening books as as basically organic valium as it has a very calming effect. I cut and dry it and when making tea i add about 1/8th of a oz in with the tea. that gives it a nice lemony flavor.and relaxes me also. More can be added for extea effect. I have also ground it and put it into empty pill capsules that can be bought at pharmacies. Another way it can be used it in salads or any aspect of cooking that a lemony flavor is wanted. I have friends that dry it and then smoke it to get the relaxing effects. but i have never done that as it is to harsh on my lungs. I would be sad if i ever lost my plants.
