What are some applications for a fiber optic safety system?
You could use the PICO-GUARD in guard interlocking, and multiple beam perimeter and access guarding applications. However, a small four or eight beam, mid-resolution safety light screen can be created by using the optical points and one or two controllers. You could even use the PICO-GUARD for “equipment protection” non-safety applications. The standard controllers also have two additional electrical-based safety interfaces (USSI#1 and USSI#2) that can monitor other safety devices, increasing the PICO-GUARD functionality.
