What are some advantages of a multicultural population in Australia?
I believe that a multicultural society is a recipe for disaster longterm …..that we are in reality a multiracial society working towards defining one culture rather than each clinging tightly to our own. What I mean by that is that if you look at those countries where ethnic differences continually erupt into outbursts , some violent , it’s usually where there are distinct cultural differences & long term issues… We are a new country & our culture is still evolving …the last thing we need is for each segment of society to cling so tightly to its own cultural difference that we don’t all benefit from uniting those differences into something uniquely Australian… I am all for each culture celebrating & sharing with all of us as long as we are all striving towards adding something to this great nation …
