Besides easing congestion in NPPD’s transmission network and providing more flexibility in the generation, transmission and delivery of energy, additional benefits of the new line include the development of an additional interconnection between Nebraska and Kansas which will enhance electric system reliability in the region. Also, there will be economic benefits of construction jobs and a more robust infrastructure.
