What are some adaptations in the kingdom of plantae?
What do you mean, adaptations? Do you mean evolutionary traits? Some distinctions between Plantae and other kingdoms: They are multicellular, they form embryos, they contain chloroplasts (they photosynthesize, they are photosynthetic), they have cell walls made of cellulose, they are autotrophs (get their energy from sources like the sun, not other decomposing animals)[some animals are kind of heterotrophs, like the venus fly trap, but they still have autotrophic leaves, so we will ignore them, too complicated.], they can reproduce both sexually and asexually… they are eukaryotes (have a nucleus). Bryophytes and Tracheophytes evolved out of green algae. Bryophytes are the less complicated of the two: they are nonvascular (have no roots, stems, or leaves), generally live between aquatic and terrestrial life, are short and small (because they have no system to carry nutrients to the upper plant levels). Tracheophytes have evolved further. They are vascular, can colonize in dry habitats
