What are some activities to do in and around Fortuna, Costa Rica?
Guest1504 My husband and I lived in La Fortuna, Costa Rica for nearly 3 years. We just sold our property that was near the foot of Vulcan Arenal. A must see is the La Fortuna waterfall. If you take any trips get an experienced guide. Watch our for thieves and there is also Dengue fever. Have plenty of insect spray. You can enjoy the hot springs (Tabacon or the less luxurious Baldi Termales) and can wind surf and fish for bass on Arenal Lake. Volcano watching is an excellent night time activity. There are tours to Cano ***** national park (a wetland) that are quite interesting. If you like adventure, there is excellent mountain biking and canyoning. There is also white water rafting on the Sarpiqui river.
