What are some activities that can be classified as leadership activities on Scholarship/University Application?
The library buddy program would usually be considered community service. Starting up or being in charge of a similar Buddy Program would be a leadership activity. Examples of leadership activities would be: an officer in student government; a club officer; a team captain; editor of the school newspaper or yearbook; attaining rank in JROTC, Civil Air Patrol, Sea Cadets, Young Marines or similar in Explorers or Boy Scouts. An example of a really strong leadership activity would be the Captain and MVP of a HS Lacrosse team that won the state championship for the school’s division. This is from the first page of Berkeley’s Athletic Admission’s Policy but I think it might help.
