WHAT ARE SOME ACTIVITIES OF THE NJROTC PROGRAM?
NJROTC students will visit various military installations, learn about life in the military, and have the opportunity to perform some exciting military skills. Cadets will also march in parades, participate in competitions with other JROTC units, go to sea aboard Navy ships, and participate in community service activities. There are also social activities, to include the annual military ball, dining ins, dining outs, and unit picnics. Cadets have the opportunity to join the NJROTC Armed and Unarmed drill teams and Color Guard, which perform and compete frequently throughout the school year at various events. There are also week-long mini boot camps and leadership academies conducted each year. Cadets may participate in as many of these activities as they desire as long as their academic GPA is above 2.0.
