Back in the 50’s when I grew up some people used newspaper in outhouses when they ran out of toilet paper. If they had a flush toilet they put the used newspaper in the trash can instead of the toilet as it would clog up a flush toilet.

Kleenex is close enough to toilet paper that it probably won’t cause problems for your septic system. While the “Farmer’s Almanac” has a hole punched in it so that it can be hung by a nail in the privy, its pages are too thick for the modern septic system and pipes.

FLUSHABLE bio-degradable wipes – yes, they do make them alternatively, facial tissue or paper towels in the great outdoors, others have already given good suggestions, but they don’t work so well if it’s -30 with a windchill – hard to find soft leaves then.
