What are socialism and communism and why did America side with Islamic fundamentalists to oppose them?
America sided with islamic fundamentalists for the same reason America sided with south Vietnam – to fight back communism, because The Soviet Communists and the American Capitalists were in a war called the cold war from the end of world war 2 until the collapse of the soviet union in 1991. each side saw the other as so different that they felt they could not coexist, so they fought wars indirectly with each other because if they had fought a war face to face they would end up using multiple nuclear weapons 100 times as strong as those used on Japan. and we would all be dead. there are three big economic systems: Capitalism – socialism – communism. capitalism means competition between companies to provide a choice of products/services. Communism believes it to be more efficient for the government to employ everyone and produce one type of every product/service. Socialism is a mix of government services and competing products/services.
