What are slot standard shelves and how do they work?
• A Slot Standard is a shelving fixture that is very common. It’s a piece of metal with slits in it that you hang on the wall. You put a bayonet shelf bracket that has 2 little hooks or teeth into the slits and push down to lock in the shelf bracket. What we do is weld 2 of these slot standards into the frame of your new panel behind the carpet so they are hidden. There are two sections to each panel, the upper and the lower. You can put it in either section, or both. The cost is per section. If you tell us how far up from the floor you want to have your shelf, we will slit the carpet for you. If you are not sure we can send you a jig and some instructions with a diagram to enable you to cut the carpet for the shelf yourself. Shelves with bayonet brackets come the width of the panel you order. They are available in 8″, 10″, or 12″ depth. They are covered in carpet, just like the panels. You can put more than one shelf on a panel, you just have to make sure your system is supported more
