What are Sit and Gos (SNGs), or single table tournaments?
Single table tournaments are a good place to cut your teeth on tournament play. The tournaments are short – typically an hour in length and that is if you make it to the end, and are an economical way to get tournament experience. They start as soon as the table is filled with the minimum number of players and typically are catered to multiple buy-in levels. PokerStars has a large variety of Sit&Gos available, with many different forms of poker – including the most popular No Limit Hold’em. Some more interesting variations include turbo games with rapidly increasing blinds and short-handed games with only 6 players. Most of these are 9 handed but some differ from this format.
