What are signs of miscarriage in early pregnancy?
If you have tested VERY early, ie. well before your period is due, you may have gotten a positive result for what we call a ‘chemical pregnancy’. This means the egg is fertilised but cannot be implanted, and so it comes out with your period as normal. This would mean you have all the symptoms of your period (and ironically they can be the same as pregnancy symptoms) and then bleed, as in, have a period. This happens to every woman, but most do not realise as they aren’t testing that early. If you are past that stage, and have missed a period and gotten a positive test, then the signs would be heavy bleeding with or without clots, strong abdominal cramping and possibly feeling dizzy or faint. If you have miscarried or are miscarrying, there is nothing anyone can do to stop it I’m afraid. But you can go to the hospital and get a scan to confirm the miscarriage.
