What are signs of gall bladder problems?
If you pass a gallstone, you will have abrupt onset of severe pain under your ribs on the right side. Usually this is accompanied by nausea and vomiting, the pain may radiate through to your back. Often there is a family history of gallstones. Obesity, pregnancy, and birth control pills can increase the risk. If the stone is small enough to pass, the symptoms will last a few hours to a couple of days. I there are numerous stones or ifit is too large to pass and gets stuck, bile will begin to back up and you can develop jaundice (yellow skin & whites of your eyes). The gall bladder can become infected and cause blood poisoning and even develop gangrene if untreated. Complications can also include pancreatitis.
