What are signs of failing shock absorbers?

0

The simplest thing to do to check your shock absorbers is to “bounce” your car. Shock absorbers, in addition to absorbing the shock of the soil spring being compressed, also help return the sprint to it’s ‘normal’ position quickly. If you bounce the end of your car, and it continues to bounce, then it’s probably a good sign that your shocks are going bad. If, however, the car ‘settles’ quickly and doesn’t continue to bounce, your shocks are probably okay. You will also notice this while driving down the road. When you hit a bump, does the rear end of your car continue to bounce up and down? If so, you might want to have your shocks replaced. Hope this helps…
