More common side effects of Sertraline include insomnia, nervousness, anxiety, indigestion, abdominal pain, constipation, nausea, loss of appetite, sore throat, dizziness, diarrhea, problems with vision, vomiting, headaches, increased perspiration, agitation, dry mouth and loss of libido. Sertraline can cause weight loss which can be a problem in those who have already lost weight due to their form of depression. It can also cause episodes of mania in some people. Contact your doctor if you have any incidence off these more serious side effects. If you notice any signs of an allergic reaction such as rash or hives; trouble breathing or swollen tongue, throat, mouth or face you should seek medical advice straight away.
