What are serious adverse reactions to the vaccine?
More serious adverse reactions include high fever; weakness; behavioral changes; and difficulty breathing, hoarseness or wheezing, hives, paleness, weakness, a rapid heartbeat, or dizziness. If you experience a serious adverse reaction: • Call your provider or let the person giving you the injection/spray know that you need to see a healthcare provider such as an MD, NP, or PA. • Be certain to tell your provider the date and time that you received the vaccination and, if possible, obtain the lot number and manufacturer of the vaccine. • Ask your provider to report the reaction by filing a Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting Systems (VAERS) form. You can file this report yourself through VAERS website or by calling 800.822.7967.
