What are search tags?
Search tags are powerful key words or phrases that describe your business, products or services and under which you would like your business to be found. A search tag can be an alternative way of describing your business activity, an attribute (eg ‘swimming pool’ for a hotel; ‘food available’ for a pub; ’24 hour call-out’ for a plumber, etc), or a product, service or brand name that you sell. Search tags are single words or phrases that describe and define your content, specifically and in general. These tags are used to link related content. For example, content about why George Washington was the greatest president could have the search tags “George Washington, United States presidents, politics, American history.” It would be displayed under topics with content that has similar search tags and be linked directly to content that shares those search tags. The more accurate your search tags are, the more likely they’ll appear within topics and next to content that is truly related and the more likely it will reach its target audience.
