What are sealers for granite countertops, and how do I use them?
Natural stone is a porous material. Sealers fill in the natural pores and repel spills on the surface of your stone, thus allowing you time to wipe up spills before they have a chance to stain. By following some simple precautions and maintenance procedures you can keep your stone from staining. Not all sealers are alike. Different sealers will give you different results. A good quality sealer will instruct you on how to protect your countertop with its maintenance instruction packet.
