What are scientists doing to find the causes of PS?
Our laboratory is collecting blood and DNA from PS families for analysis in an attempt to find the mutated genes that cause PS. As far as our laboratory is aware, we are the only ones in the World conducting such research. We will collect as many samples until as we need until we deem that we can begin analysis. Our primary requirement is that we collect DNA from families with at least one BRA infant and at least one unaffected infant. These siblings will be used as a comparison for inheritance.
