Currently DESE does not have a state specific technology standard that 8th grade students should be measured against. Districts are encouraged to use the National Educational Technology Standards for Students (NETS*S). More information about NETS*S can be found on the International Society for Technology in Education website at http://cnets.iste.org/students/s_profiles.html.
