What are safe medications to take during pregnancy? What are safe remedies for nausea due to pregnancy?
The famotidine is probably not going to be a problem. There is limited human data on it’s use during pregnancy but animal data suggests low risk. It is a pregnancy risk factor B (which is very good). As for nausea, promethazine (Phenergan) has been used for about 30 years in pregnancy and should be safe. Also for nausea, ondansetron (Zofran) is a risk factor B drug which is effective for prevention of nausea. It should also be safe for use in pregnancy.
