What Are Rubber Floor Tiles?
Rubber floor tiles are simply tiles of rubber that are laid in your chosen area. While adhesives can be used to secure the tiles, most rubber floor tiles are interlocking, allowing them to be easily installed without the use of adhesives. No adhesives are a good thing as there are less emissions or harmful substances used. It also means that it is easier to recycle the tiles when they are no longer needed. Rubber floor tiles can be made from synthetic rubber, natural rubber (also called virgin rubber), or recycled rubber. The last two options are the most environmentally friendly. They are available in a range of shapes, sizes, and colours, so they are suitable for anywhere in the home. Different thicknesses are also available. For example, you could use a thinner tile inside the home while thicker tiles are great for cushioning areas where kids play.
