What are relationship between fasting and revelations / visions.?
The Bible is clear about the origins of so called modern day miracles. It says… 1 Corinthians 13:8 . . .”But whether there are [gifts of] prophesying, they will be done away with; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will be done away with.. . .” Yes, after the first century Christians died these special gifts died with them. Christianity no longer needed these extra proofs of Gods backing because the Bible was now written , and all of the needed proof and direction was included in it. Modern day miracles however come from a VERY different source. 2 Corinthians 11:14 . . . ‘And no wonder, for Satan himself keeps transforming himself into an angel of light.” Satan uses these sorts of things to steer good hearted people away from the truth of the Bible.
