What are registration points?
Registration points are the small holes found at the opposite top corners of multiple overlay stencils and are used to align the several layers during the stenciling process. Before removing the first overlay, place a piece of low-tack tape on the surface to be stenciled under the registration marks and stencil the registration holes with a color that contrasts well with the color of the tape. When the stencil is removed the registration marks remain on the surface. The ensuing layers are then lined up using these markings.
