Basically, refurbished computers are used computers that have been tested, repaired and/or cleaned to be in perfect operating condition. We acquire used equipment and thoroughly test all of the components and carefully inspect each item. Any parts that are defective or broken are replaced and the unit is thoroughly cleaned. We then warranty the item. We only acquire quality, name brand equipment. So most items arrive in good working order and simply need cleaning and testing. A refurbished computer is totally new and clean. In general, these were taken off the assembly line and set aside for refurbishment. In some cases, these were repaired, but still NEW. You will notice that it still comes with a new computer warranty. That means that they see it as BRAND NEW too. I have purchased a number of Refurbished computers from DELL in the past. I discovered that they were often better than NEW, since additional testing was performed. But Dell stopped discounting refurbished computers.
