What are recognition cookies?
A recognition cookie is information sent to your computer from a website. For the Enhanced Security feature, the National Bank of Canada sends secured information to your computer when your workstation has been registered to your user code. It contains a unique identifier that will enable us to identify you when a session is opened. Each time a new session is opened from your computer, your browser will return that cookie as a security measure so that we can confirm that you are using your own computer.
