What are range markings?
Unlike store-bought leather goods, we strive to enhance our products with the natural beauty inherent to leather. Each hide features its own wrinkles, scars, and markings from life on the open range, making it naturally unique and more desirable. Some of these markings are further enhanced by the addition of dyes and pigments during the manufacturing process. We don’t hide these ‘flaws’ and go out of our way to offer leathers that have character. As a result, our products may seem ‘rustic’ to those not familiar with the true nature of leather hide. But each piece is manufactured from strong durable hides, guaranteeing QUALITY, VALUE, and LONGEVITY. Occasionally we receive requests from customers to include the cattle brand, which is often found on the hides we receive from the tannery. What a great addition to an already unique product!
