What are Quads?
Most people have heard of ATVs, an acronym for all terrain vehicles. Also known as 4-wheelers, these off-road bikes make getting around and working on a ranch or hunting in the woods easier. But it was the thrill of riding fast that brought development of the more sporty ATVs. Sport quads such as the Honda 450R and Suzuki 450 are made for speed, and although someone can buy one off of the showroom floor and take it to a motocross track, most riders competing in ATV motocross racing spend thousands of dollars in aftermarket parts to make their quads safer and faster for competition.
