What are public schools afraid of?
It’s not that public schools are afraid. But we know that the children who remain in their neighborhood schools will be harmed if public school funds are cut. With fewer funds, it will be more difficult to lower class size, improve technology and maintain and repair the physical structure. The fixed cost of operating schools will not change, but the money to do those things will not be available.
