What are promos?
Promos, or promotion CDs, are the CDs radio stations receive when a new single is released on air – which means it is not yet available to buy. Promos usually have only one track (or also two, album version and radio edit), and they can have preliminary cover art which mostly differs a lot from the finished single. Sometimes there is also no cover provided, only a short leaflet with artist name, song title and label. As promos are not supposed to be sold (they are given to the radio stations for free), there is only a limited pressing which makes them very rare.
