What are professions?
Any character can learn and use any skill. However, there are groups of skills that are considered professions. When a character is proficient in all of the skills of a particular group, they can be considered to be a member of that profession, which may grant access to certain quests and guilds. Taking on a profession is optional and is mostly there to recognize the character’s work in mastering particular skills. Characters may study multiple professions.
