What are Prof. Ming Qing Zhus contributions to the development of scalp acupuncture?
Professor Zhu has developed a highly effective method of scalp acupuncture that has gained many adherents in Japan, America, Europe and China. From 1987 to 1989 he served as assistant director of the Scalp Points Research Group of the Chinese Acupuncture Association that helped development the international standard model for scalp acupuncture. Since coming to the U.S. Prof. Zhu established the Chinese Scalp Acupuncture Center of the U.S.A. in San Francisco, and, in 1992, he published an English-language book on his methods: Zhu’s Scalp Acupuncture that has become a standard text for instruction. He is currently Director and Professor at the Chinese Medical Neurology Center in Santa Cruz, CA in affiliation with Five Branches Institute and Director of Zhu’s Acupuncture Medical and Neurology Center in San Jose. Prof. Zhu offers a Certificate Program in Scalp Acupuncture for licensed acupuncturists and medical doctors.
