Business processes operate in a world of random change. In this world few processes produce consistent performance, actual performance is difficult to assess, and future performance is almost impossible to predict. It is difficult to argue against such a premise when we consider examples of real world processes. Process Behaviour Charts are essentially a graphical tool for assessing the range of performance we can expect a process to deliver over time.
