Former Davenport University president Randolph Flechsig was the second-highest earner among the state’s private college presidents, according to the most recent survey by the Chronicle of Higher Education. Aquinas College President Ed Balog was ranked 15th among 17 organizations surveyed. The annual survey of private colleges, based on data from the 2006-07 school year, shows Flechsig was second to Albion College President Peter Mitchell, who earned $596,073 in salary and benefits.
