What are POP (POP3) mail & IMAP?
POP mail enables you to use an email program, like MS Outlook and Outlook Express, on your own computer to send, receive and manage your emails. POP mail is one of the most functional ways to work with email. When you use POP mail, you actually download your emails from our server to your computer. Your emails are then stored on your own computer, which means you can manage your emails offline. You only need to be connected to the Internet to send and receive emails. Working with a POP mail client, like MS Outlook and Outlook Express, is usually faster and more comfortable than working with Web mail. EnterGroup POP mail supports all POP mail clients. IMAP is a protocol for retrieving e-mail messages. It is similar to POP but supports additional features. IMAP allows a 2-way communication with your email client and the EnterGroup servers.
