What Are Pixie Braids?
Pixie braids are a style with a myriad of tiny braids covering the majority or all of the head. Commonly worn by African-American children, this hairdo has crossed over culturally and through generations. Today you will see teens and middle-aged women sport this fun ‘do no matter what their nationality or hair habits. Pixie braids, also call micro braids, are especially popular on shoulder to mid-length hair, as you need a substantial amount to pull off a multitude of braids. Your hair is then divided into very small sections and braided tightly. Some people remove their pixie braids at bedtime, while others prefer to leave them in their hair for extended periods, shampooing their hair with the style still in.
