What are persistently lowest achieving schools?
A. In conjunction with Race to the Top (RTTT) and School Improvement Grant (SIG) legislation, every state was required to create a list of its persistently lowest achieving schools. These include the lowest-performing 5% of Title I schools in each state and secondary schools that may not receive Title I funding but that have a 60% or lower graduation rate.
