What are Patellar Dislocation and Patellar Instability?
Patellar dislocation refers to the knee cap (patella) dislocating from it’s usually location in the knee joint. Patellar instability refers to the knee cap being unstable where it usually resides. Recurrent patellar instability is a term often used to describe the situation where an athlete’s patella is dislocated multiple times over a period of time.
