What are palettes? Why would I use one over another?
Palettes are different ways to combine the modules of XBRL. The modular approach was adopted as some prospective regional users of XBRL GL felt that some of the data fields now found in the USK module would compromise acceptance of XBRL GL by their governments. The modular approach would allow those users to bring together the modules not including USK. Some users may wish to limit the available data fields used in their business reporting supply chain. A consumer of XBRL GL files would likely wish to understand the most comprehensive palette possible.
