What are other factors I need to consider when getting fitted for a garment?

You are encouraged to discuss your options with both your fitter and therapist. Your therapist will make a recommendation based on past experience with specific products/materials, and service/support provided. Considerations include amount of edema and location, comfort, aesthetics, and personal lifestyle. Lymphedema compression sleeves are an important part of long-term management of Lymphedema. The sleeves should be replaced every 4-6 months depending on use. You have the option of being fitted with a different type of garment at a later date to see which product best meets your needs.
