What are other benefits for re-zoning the property for residential use?
We think that adding housing would be complementary to the Citys Town Center plan. It would entice residents to get out and walk to the new local attractions and surrounding parks. They would spend less money on gas by walking or making a short drive to the new Town Center. Also, re-zoning would bring in more families to Scotts Valley, and potentially increase the number of school age children attending local schools. This would increase school funding, which pays for teachers and programs for all children in the community.
