What are optimum graphics settings for Gunship?
What you can use depends on your graphics device, but the best is the configuration “Direct 3D T&L HAL” which is hardware rendered AGP that runs on both Geforce 2 and 3 versions as well as many other newer Graphical boards. Mostly the optimum setting will be selected automatically. You go to Configuration/Game from the main screen to check/change what’s selected In case you can only select “Software” it probably means that you have what’s called an “Onboard” graphics driver that uses software rendering only. This is definitely not optimal for graphics performance, but can be used although the manual says no – still a minimum of 32MB D3D (AGP) card will improve the experience a lot if you are able to purchase one. You can check what you have by running dxdiag.exe and do the tests on the graphic settings.
