What are NYUs policies concerning community standards?
Student conduct and community standards are an important part of belonging to the NYU community. Specific guidelines for all University policies and procedures are provided in the Student’s Guide to NYU. Information is available on such topics as general student conduct, disciplinary procedures, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), sexual harassment, and more. Each incoming student should receive a copy of the Student’s Guide to NYU at orientation. Copies may also be requested from school student affairs offices or from the Student Resource Center. The Student’s Guide to NYU is also available on-line, at www.nyu.edu/students.guide. The Department of Housing and Residence Life provides guidelines and procedures specific to campus residents. Housing procedures are available on the housing Web site at www.nyu.edu/housing.
