What are notices?
Notices are global announcements that relate to the whole Community forum and web site, announcing new features, giving system updates, or otherwise relaying important information. These appear at the top of all screens, off-set in their own box. Some notices are ‘persistent’, meaning they will appear until the moderators remove them (this might be the case with important system announcements, for example). Others can be removed after you have read them: simply click the red ‘X’ that appears to the right of such announcements, and you won’t see them again. Further, some announcements will appear when you first log in, but won’t remain throughout your visit.
