What are norwegians like?
Norwegians can be reserved, but not overly so. I live on the west coast and find people very friendly here. People do in fact talk to me on the street, in shops, on the bus, etc. I’ve made friends just by meeting them in pubs or at parties, like everywhere else. I’m from the US and not considered outgoing there, but I’m “normal” here. I find it very refreshing here not to be forced into long-winded meaningless small talk with strangers. Friendships come a bit slower than some other places, but once you’ve made a friend, they tend to be a very good friend. Unfortunately, alcohol seems necessary for some people to open up (according to their own admittance), and many Norwegians are big drinkers on the weekends. People are sexual in the sense that they are at ease with sex. There’s much less embarrassment about things like nudity, and people tend to be open about their experiences. The attitudes are also more liberal than some of the other places I’ve lived like the US or UK. In my experi
