What are Normals?
A. Also known as standards, these are a form of verbal shorthand that our clients use to save time. As an example, in the physical exam section of an H&P you could say head normal and our transcriptionists could enter Head: No scalp lesions or skull deformity. Pupils are equal, round and reactive to light and accommodation. No scleral icterus. Extraocular movements are intact. There is no ptosis. The conjunctivae are clear. There are no nasal polyps, epistaxis or purulence. Good oral hygiene without stomatitis, gingivitis, tonsillitis or pharyngitis. No otitis. We help you develop these normals to reduce the amount of time you spent on patient records. All of this yields less time spent by you working on patient records with better, more compliant results.
