$180.00 is not unreasonable for the damages you state. Nail holes and scuff marks are not considered normal wear and tear. The nail holes will need to be filled in with spackle, sanded and repainted….most likely the entire door will need to be painted. All of this should of been done, by you..prior to vacating.

You are right about normal wear and tear, but $180.00 for fixing a few nail holes and paint? This is totally acceptable and you would be wasting your time and probably more money trying to fight. The courts look at whatever is reasonable and in this case, it is extremely reasonable.
